How to find volunteers for your web project

How to find volunteers for your web project

There are a lot of places that you can find volunteers to help you out with your web-project.

It is not often easy to find volunteers, you often want to go for people that want to expand on their skills and build a portfolio.

Try to be clear as to what you want, who will they be working with?  What will they have to do? What will they get in return?  Why should they join your project?  What type of person do you want?  What would their skills be?  Do they get a share in the project?

You could ask in forums that you are already based that do not necessarily have “job sections”.

Here are a few:

Other ways are to ask in your existing user base, ask your friends.  Ask their friends.

Make your project as exciting as you can, it has to appeal to the interests of the volunteer as they are going to be spending their time for free. They need to like what they are doing.

Good Luck.
